Binance Coin (BNB) has set another all-time high, reaching $956. The token climbed 4% on the day, continuing a month-long uptrend that has pushed its price up by over 13% in the past 30 days. The move follows a breakout from a bull flag formation, with trading volumes increasing across spot, futures, and derivatives markets.

Regulatory Developments and Market Reaction
The price surge comes amid reports that Binance is nearing an agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to end its compliance monitorship, which was imposed as part of a $4.3 billion settlement in 2023. The oversight was originally intended to last until 2026 and involved an external monitor supervising Binance’s anti-money laundering practices.
Sources familiar with the matter have indicated that the DOJ is considering replacing the monitor requirement with enhanced internal reporting, aligning with recent changes under the Trump administration. The DOJ has also recently ended other monitor arrangements across financial institutions.
While no final decision has been made, the potential removal of the compliance monitor is seen as a positive signal for Binance’s operational stability, and has coincided with growing market demand for BNB.
BNB Ecosystem Developments
Beyond price action, BNB has seen continued development on its associated blockchain network, BNB Chain. The June 2025 Maxwell hard fork introduced faster block times, and the project’s 2026 roadmap includes goals of reaching 20,000 transactions per second with sub-150ms finality.
Recent adoption signals have also played a role in the token’s visibility. Several Nasdaq-listed firms have added BNB to their treasuries, and an application for a U.S.-based BNB ETF was submitted earlier this year by VanEck.

Outlook
BNB’s breakout past $950 is supported by both technical and fundamental developments. Market participants are watching closely to see whether the DOJ agreement is finalized, and whether the $1,000 price level – viewed as a key psychological milestone – will be tested in the coming days.
