The Official Trump memecoin saw a sharp price increase after organizers announced a new conference and gala luncheon scheduled for April 25 at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

The token had recently dropped to a new low around $2.73 after months of decline from its early 2025 peak. Shortly after the event announcement, however, trading activity increased significantly and the price rebounded. At one point the token climbed above $4, marking a gain of more than 50% from its recent bottom.
Despite the rebound, the token remains far below its early 2025 peak near $73, representing a decline of more than 90% from its highest recorded value.

The Mar-a-Lago Incentive
Attendance at the April event will be limited to the top 297 holders of the TRUMP token. Participants must register by connecting a crypto wallet or linking their token holdings, after which they are ranked on a public leaderboard.
The leaderboard measures the time-weighted average number of tokens held between March 12 and April 10. Larger and longer-held balances increase a participant’s ranking and improve the chances of receiving an invitation.
The top 29 holders will also qualify for a VIP reception with President Donald Trump before the main luncheon. According to the event’s terms, attendees must pass security checks and will not be permitted private meetings with the president.

Not the First Event of Its Kind
The upcoming gathering is the second major event tied to ownership of the TRUMP token. In 2025, the project hosted a private dinner for top holders at Trump National Golf Club near Washington, D.C.
Participation in that event was also determined through a leaderboard ranking token holders. Analysts estimated that buyers spent roughly $148 million worth of tokens collectively to qualify for invitations.
The price of the token increased in the weeks leading up to that dinner before declining again shortly afterward.
